TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT THE MEMBERS OF SMOKE MOHAWK.

Thomas Felberg is the singer in Smoke Mohawk, he is also the frontman from WE, he has the largest record collection of anyone I know, and not only is he an amazing singer/songwriter & frontman but his music knowledge is far beyond most human beings alive today. He is a dear friend going back 20 years now & I am glad we finally are playing together in a great band.

Rolf Yngve Uggen is my old colleague & friend from the Gluecifer days (his Glue-name was Raldo Useless). I am very pleased to play with him again, he is my favourite guitar player & a truly great friend. He has an amazing sense of humor & I think his record collection is almost as large as Thomas’ – In my opinion they are the best songwriting team in Norway today

Raymond Jensen was the bass player in My Midnight Creeps, the band from the fantastic Robert Burås (R.I.P) who played guitar in Madrugada. Raymond is the most solid bass player & person ever. He’s is calm & relaxed while playing bass grooves that are powerful, dynamic & very correct. He is a very talented musician who sings the nicest harmonies ever & can drink anyone under the table. He is from the north of Norway & is a true viking. A great guy, I’m very glad he plays in Smoke Mohawk.

Danny Young, me! I played drums in Gluecifer & I now play drums in Smoke Mohawk & with Bela B. I enjoy playing live, touring in Europe. Germany, Austria & Switzerland are great places to tour, especially with The Human Boss. Some of my favourite music to listen to on tour: Van Halen, The Rolling Stones, Beatsteaks, ZZ Top, Hi Hat Club Vol 1 (Uno & Testiculo) & Tom Waits. I enjoy a great meal with great friends, stories & drinks & am a big fan of great movies, documentaries.

ARE THERE ANY PLANS FOR SMOKE MOHAWK GIGS IN GERMANY/AUSTRIA/SWITZERLAND IN THE NEAR FUTURE?

We are planning to tour in Norway in september and we would really like to tour in Germany/Austria/Switzerland in early october, we are looking for a European distribution since our album is not out yet (it’s only out in Norway & online, Itunes: Germany/Austria/Switzerland) & then we would really love to come south to play live for you!

WHY DOES EVERYONE WITH A GOOD TASTE IN MUSIC (LIKE FOR EXAMPLE BELA B-FANS) HAVE TO BUY THIS ALBUM?

People who want to hear The Dogs Are Turning Red now can go to Itunes or similar online stores & buy it. It’s a killer album with many great rock references from the 60’s 70’s & 80’s. If you love rock & you’ll dig Smoke Mohawk. We gotten great reviews so far in all Norwegian media so there is really no reason not to buy it ; )
